[Tim] Metcalfe [owner of Metcalfe’s Sentry in Madison] said that Brat Fest could be affected this year, not only for his business but also because Johnsonville employees have been large contributors to [Wisconsin Governor Scott] Walker.

Metcalfe’s said it has a partnership agreement with Johnsonville donating 150,000 brats to the cause. Already another Facebook page has popped up calling for people to “Boycott Bratfest.”

Some potential fallout from WI Governor Walker’s plan to end collective bargaining for public employees.

Please, Wisconsin, put your biases aside for a weekend and eat some brats.

The original TV commercial, first aired in 1953, features a small green puppet as the (Jolly) Green Giant (though the commercial itself was in black-and-white) stalking through what appears to be the Valley, through the use of stop-motion animation. He stops outside a small farm and holding out his hands, in which two Green Giant canned products are seen spinning into view: in his left hand, a can of his famous Niblets, and in his right, a can of peas. He then holds them out as the camera slowly backs out.

A variation of this commercial features a scene that takes place in a family setting. In this, the mother character in the commercial implies that if one eats Green Giant products, one will become a Green Giant. The young boys featuring in the advert, however, are not scared by this, but seem rather excited. We can see this as they continue to devour their great Giant sweetcorn somewhat more quickly.

The commercial was deemed too scary for younger viewers and was quickly pulled off the air.

SAN FRANCISCO - Celebrity chef Guy Fieri’s blood must be boiling after learning a skilled thief using climbing gear broke into a San Francisco exotic car dealership and stole his $200,000-plus Lamborghini sports car.

Investigators told CBS affiliate KPIX that the robber climbed to the roof of the Bentley, Lamborghini, Lotus dealership, then rappelled into the showroom using mountaineering tools which he left behind. He then unlocked the garage door and drove the Lamborghini off the floor and out of sight.
