Sometimes on my days off, I like to watch daytime TV and nap. Yesterday, I was doing just that, enjoying the a/c and various cats on the Internet. The stupid judge show I was watching had gone to commercial, and some Fox 9 anchorperson was talking about the food trucks in downtown Minneapolis (or St Paul, I couldn’t tell) ”Sure they’re convenient, but How dirty are they? Find out tomorrow at 9!” was the theme of the promo.
You know what, Fox 9? They’re fine. They’re cleaner than your home kitchen. I know some of these people, and they’re professionals. They wouldn’t let their food truck get any dirtier than they would let their own kitchen.
But I know you’re going to find some strain of bacteria on some counter, and see some garbage where it shouldn’t be; here’s the deal Fox 9, bacteria is everywhere and sometimes garbage ends up where it shouldn’t. Does that mean that a food truck is unsanitary, not necessarily.
Fox 9, I hate it when you pull this shit. Stop scaring people away from eating out. It’s hard enough to make a living in the restaurant biz, and you’re not making it any easier.
